How to Find the Factors of a Number
Prime Factorization
Gr. 6 Examining numbers from 0.001 to 1 000 000
We have started working on our next mathematics unit on whole numbers. The students will explore numbers from 0.001 to 1 000 000 in grade 6 and develop an understanding of how to read, represent, order and compare these numbers. We began with whole numbers to 1 000 000, studying place value, representing numbers in standard form, expanded form and written form. This week we are working on comparing and ordering numbers and rounding numbers to the nearest hundred thousand and to the nearest million. We will have different quizzes and questions to assess if your child understands the concepts being explored. You can help your child with this unit by helping your child find and read large numbers in newspapers and magazines.
